NOTABLE PROJECTS

Rio Grande Production field – Gathering Facilities – Basic Engineering

Basic Engineering for the gathering facilities of 15 wells producing gas (60 MSCFD) and condensate (800 bpd) in the Rio Grande production field. The project included thermal and hydraulic verification of the control and production ducts, well pads instrumentation, scraper/pigging traps, and line break valves for river crosses

Early Production Facilities Boquerón Norte – Conceptual Engineering

Conceptual Engineering for the EPF – Early Production Facilities - of  6500 bpd of oil and 3.2 MSCFD gas of the Boquerón Norte field (Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia), including gathering facilities for the production of 26 wells, oil treatment and  desalting, gas compression, storage tanks, utilities and services , gas pipeline, oil pipeline and water ducts to deliver products.

Extended Basic Engineering - Linear Alkylbenzenes Complex (LAB)

This project aimed at increasing production by 40%. Project scope comprised Extended Basic Engineering, plant and process studies, debottlenecking, HAZOP, constructability studies and cost estimation (including MTO /bill of materials to improve estimation accuracy)

New Early Production Site – Unconventionals – EPC

This new early production plant included gas compression facilities, TEG dehydration unit, thermal treatment of emulsions, and water treatment facilities to achieve final disposal conditions.

The EPC was a joint collaboration between Hytech and SIMA Ingeniería. This project also entailed detailed design and standardization of the well pads for the region

New Gas Plant ITAU - EPC Project

This plant, located in Tarija, Bolivia, was designed for dew point adjustment and acid gas removal of 200 MMSCFD Gas. The EPC was a joint venture between Hytech, Exterran and Bolivian company Kaiser. Engineering and procurement teams from and workshops in Texas (USA), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santa Cruz (Bolivia) and Aldridge (UK), collaborated for this multinational project, which was completed in 19 months.

New Cryogenic Gas Plant Gran Chaco, Bolivia - eFEED Project

Hytech developed the Extended Front End Engineering for a complete plant to process 1000 MMSCFD (32 MMSM3D), comprising LPG and gasoline storage; gas and multiphase pipelines and pipeline interconnection; residual gas compression; truck dispatch stations, LPG, isopentane and gasoline pumping; pressure vessels and heat exchangers mechanical design. The project also included regional market studies to assess LPG and gasoline market logistics; topographic and geological studies to evaluate plant possible locations as well as environmental and social impact assessments. The plant is in Tarija, Bolivia

Campana Refinery - Multiple Expansion Projects - eFEED

Extended basic engineering to increase Refinery capacity by 65% through the Topping and Vacuum units expansion by introducing a new pre-flash vacuum tower and new parallel heat exchangers train

Ensenada Refinery - Multiple Expansion Projects - eFEED

Expansion of the existing Topping unit from 75,500 BPD to 88,000 BPD, modifying as well the crude slate to allow the processing of a lighter shale oil feedstock. Due to light oil intake, topping bottom residue was reduced by 50% thus requiring the heat exchangers train configuration revamp. A more integrated train was designed.

The processing capacity of the FCCU "B" fractioning section and Gascon were increased including steam generation by heat recovery from the process catcracking regenerator flue gases in a tailormade waste heat boiler (WHB)

Gas Treating & Stabilization Plants in South Texas - Debottlenecking and Capacity Expansion

Conceptual engineering for the debottlenecking and 15% capacity expansion of two plants in Eagle Ford (South Texas), each plant with a capacity of 150 MMSCFD of gas treating (acid gas removal and dehydration) and of condensate stabilization. The modifications introduced by our engineering design eliminated the production of undesired off-spec Y-grade

Tout Lui Faut Refinery – New Unit

New gasoline complex in Tout Lui Faut Refinery, Wanica District, Suriname. New units Naphtha Splitter (4,100 BPSD), Naphtha Isomerization (900 BPSD) and Naphtha Catalytic Reforming (3,100 BPSD). This meant a refinery capacity expansion to process 15,000 BPSD of crude oil and inclusion of new units to produce more gasoline, allowing local transportation to become independent from imported fuel

Puerto General San Martín Complex - New Unit

Hytech designed a new hydrogenation plant to selectively eliminate diolefins from a 185 m3/d stream of gasoline from pyrolysis (C4+). The design included a fractionation train for feedstock, a fractionation and stabilization train for products, and the main reaction area. We designed the complete plant model starting from a conceptual reaction design provided by the catalyst manufacturer. Part of the challenge was to reuse existing equipment as much as possible, which included, for example, analyzing and adjusting reaction conditions to incorporate an existing hydrogenation reactor to the new process.
